This is my second Simple Modern Tumbler, and I absolutely love them! They are incredibly functional, keeping my drinks cold without any leaks. I own several brands of insulated bottles, including Simple Human, Hydro Flask, and Yeti, and this tumbler outperforms them all. It fits snugly in my cup holder without being cumbersome, is lighter than expected, and I absolutely love the color. My drinks stay ice cold, even on hot summer days, and I’ve found that after more than 8 hours in a warm car, the ice remains nearly intact.
Even when left in my sunroom, which often exceeds 95 degrees, there’s still a good amount of ice left the next morning. While I haven’t tested it with hot beverages, I’m confident it would perform well. The handle is comfortable and non-slip, and the cap screws on securely. When the straw is removed and the tumbler is turned upside down, there’s no leakage whatsoever. With the straw in, it may leak a little, but it’s minimal.

The pictures were taken in natural light, and the only time it leaked was when I held it upside down while full of water. Even then, only a tiny bit dripped out through the straw, not the lid. When I removed the straw and held it upside down, a few droplets escaped, but nothing significant.
I bought this tumbler to curb my beverage goblin tendencies and to simplify my dishwashing routine. I was tired of having a separate cup for the car and the house. My house cup, which I love, holds 40 oz but doesn’t fit in any cup holder—it’s basically a tank I snagged at Walmart for $6 two years ago. While it’s great for home use, it’s not portable or spill-proof. So, I was using my old 30 oz Yeti in the car since it fits perfectly.
I haven’t tried a Stanley, but I do own a Simple Modern 64 oz Summit, which has served me well over the years. However, it’s too heavy and cumbersome to be practical for travel, often rolling out of the passenger seat, leaving me thirsty.
This tumbler is excellently crafted, from the body to the lid and straw, and the price is incredibly reasonable. I would happily pay $40 for it given its performance.
